Alton is the name of the new construction 2015 housing community for northern Palm Beach County, across from the Scripps Florida campus . Alton is wedged between the turnpike and Interstate 95 and is situated south of  Donald Ross Road and north of Hood Road . Building has started in this upscale development which will add 1,300 homes and townhomes over the next eight years. The main entrance of this development is Alton Road. The very first single family homes being built in Alton are on Grandiflora road.
Kolter Homes is building Alton on 270 acres. The property is across the street from the Scripps Research Institute at Abacoa in Jupiter.

Prices will range from the $400,000s to more than $1 million.

The builder expects to complete 10 models and the first 37 homes and townhomes by October or November. The rest of the 330-unit first phase will be ready by the middle of next year. A second phase will consist of 385 single-family homes starting at $1 million.
This housing community will have nearby offices, shops, apartments and a hotel. College campuses, an Alton town center, a clubhouse with resort style swimming pool, coffee shops and entertainment venues will be within walking distance.
Alton will include 136 acres of lakes, parks, nature preserves and open space.
