Rezoning should be taking place soon for  the city of Pembroke Pines Florida with the Pembroke Pines Women's Prison land use to now become Industrial Space. The residents at one time had signs lined up in front of their homes petitioning the prison not be built. Pembroke Pines likely plans to sell this western  66-acre site to Core5 Industrial Partners for a proposed price of $14.25 million. Pembroke Pines is filled with families and family values. The residents were fearful of diminished land values and crime was a major concern.

The battle between Southwest Ranches and Pembroke Pines continued for four years over the women's correction center. This proposed industrial park is very good news for the residents and it’s been a long time coming. Pembroke Pines Real Estate will keep great home values.
